Till date, even though the condition is well known all over the world and largely studied by a lot of professionals, there appears to be need yet for more ways by which bipolar disorder can be treated. And yes, the history of the condition is such that it continues to prosper with these studies. Perhaps that will lessen when we eventually learn to cure it once and for all. As yet, we can at least treat the syndrome to suppress its symptoms. It often takes some kind of shrink to be able to tell that you are suffering from a condition as complicated as bipolar disorder. The challenge is that most mental conditions manifest in similar ways with symptoms that vary only in minute ways. You cannot diagnose yourself, so you need the pro to do that for you. But getting yourself there before you do something not so smart is entirely up to you. There are more than enough maladies in the world to go around, but some people really do get the worst of them. Some suffer from terminal illnesses, others from mild but incurable ones, a third sect from communicable infections, and a fourth from degenerative diseases. But when a single malady combines two or three of these qualities, you get to know that you have your life cut out for you, or not. Bipolar disorder gets you in the incurable and mental arenas. If you are able to identify it early enough, begin treatment already; it might be your only chance to stay sane. Sanity is relative, and I for one do not consider people sane who are suffering from bipolar disorder. When people have to be on the lookout around you all the time, not knowing exactly which kind of mood you are in or how you will react to them, and you don’t know it either, Im pretty certain that you need to be seriously cautious. Some sessions with a shrink might be able to address the manic depressive illness. Well, youd better hope that it is.
