In a release, the National Psoriasis Foundation noted event details for Its First Walk in Denver:
What: The Walk to Cure Psoriasis being held at Denver’s Washington Park, is a one-day event to raise money to find a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, which currently affects approximately 112,000 Coloradans and millions of people worldwide. Master of ceremonies and emcee for the event will be Jim Benemann, an Emmy-award winning journalist and local CBS news anchor. National sponsors of the event include Amgen Wyeth and Abbott. This is the first year the event is being held in Denver. Attendees will have the option to participate in either a 1K or 5K walk.

Who: The walk is open to anyone interested in supporting the psoriasis community and the National Psoriasis Foundation. Donations are welcome and participants who raise $100 or more will receive an event T-shirt.
When: Sunday, Sept. 13, – Registration begins at 8 a.m., walk begins at 9 a.m. Participants may pre-register for the event at www.psoriasis.org/denverwalk.
